Hello dear audio fans! I'm an newbie and I have this question:
I have wireless headphones B&W P5 which have Bluetooth 4.1 and Aptx codec support.
My old phone (Xperia Z1) broke and I'm getting a new one. This Xperia had BT 4.1 and Aptx codec.
My new phone will have BT 5.0, A2DP, LE but with no Aptx codec support.
The question is:
Will the audio quality decrease although my new phone will have newer BT standard but without Aptx?
I'm listening to music through Tidal Hi-Fi plan, this should be around 1411Kbps bitrate or 96 kHz/24 bit with the Masters recordings (this is not available on mobile devices as of yet though)
