I've seen this movie in the theaters and I wanted get this one of Blu-ray. I picked it up this morning from Walmart, and WOW is all I can say. The picture is fantastic and the audio is crystal clear. It's not an audio showcase title, but the dialog is pristene.

Yep, will be picking up the BD also. I read a review of the BD and it said it was excellent both PQ and sound. I haven't seen it yet.

Very good movie! I bought the BD version myself, and I must say the picture quality is one of the best I have seen. The audio in parts is pretty impressive as well.

Ok, I'm coming over when you get it...

I have seen it. Great movie, though kind of in the sepia tone for turn of the century look.

Hell I tried to rent it today and it was out.

It's really a fascinating movie. When I saw the movie, I didn't know what it was about but immediately recognized Tesla's apparatus. I'm a big Tesla fan and liked the way they used him as a character. According to the featurettes, the director thought about a Tesla movie, but didn't have a plot, so he used a story in which Tesla was a character. Some of his inventions and research are so weird that nobody still knows whether his ideas for global death rays and wireless power transmission would work. The guy who invented the 20th century finally got into a movie.

I find Tesla pretty interesting as well, and it was also cool that they used David Bowie to play him. Will be watching the extras tonight. Chris Nolan is an excellent director and while I expected maybe a little more from him, I felt it was a very well done movie, solid story, and as always from Chris, beautifully shot. My favorite shot was the hats at the beginning - a seemingly meaningless shot that doesn't make sense until the story fully develops. I love that sort of thing. I found it more entertaining than The Illusionist, though I liked both for different reasons.

The sound was good, particularly when the Tesla machines were firing. Video quality was good also, but I may have to watch it again as it didn't strike me as being the best quality BluRay I've seen. Maybe it was because the picture quality took second stage to the story :)

My copy is just plain ol' DVD, but the film is wonderful! It seems to me it was more worthy of an Oscar than The Departed.

I was disappointed that Prestige, The Illusionist and the Painted Veil didn't show up at all. I wasn't that fond of the Departed but I guess it was finally time for Scorcese to get his Oscar. Payback for all those times that he lost.

This is a gratuitous bump. Well, not really, as I just re-watched it about a week ago. But, Gov seems to be giddy with BD... so....

This BD has ridiculously excellent PQ. Be sure to watch it in the dark would be my suggestion. Really something else.
