Big hello to you all! This is my first post here, and I really want to get some opinions on the Boston Acoustics Compact Refrence series of their loudspeakers. Several months back, I did a major revamp of my home theater that I've been working on since I was 13 (I'm now 18-yessss!) My previous system was comprised of Pioneer S-H452B-K fronts, an S-H450C-K center, and a pair of S-H352B-K surrounds. Alas, I could not afford a sub at the time (I was 13!) I also had a Philips DVD player, a Pioneer VSX-D710-S Surround receiver, and various monster cabling. Since I've got a job at Best Buy (He! he! he!) I've now been able to truly upgrade my sound system. My new speakers (from Boston) are the CR-75 for the fronts, CRC for the center channel, and CR-55 for the surrounds. And I really hauled butt and got the Martin Logan Grotto subwoofer-which is a beautiful sub! Now I love my new speakers, but given the constant refreshment of new models and lines, I haven't heard much about these speakers. And I've been curious as of late; could I have done better in my choice of speakers? After travelling to other audio/video retailers, I have had some doubts. If anyone owns or has heard this series of speakers, chime in and tell me what you think. Thanks a lot!
