Yes and a Paradigm based system w/receiver can be bought for the same price if not cheaper. That is not a good price. If the entire system was less than 500 maybe.

Actually this is a fine deal. Here is how it works. You are buying the receiver for a slightly inflated price and getting the Bose system for free. You leave the Bose system in the box and give it to your brother-in-law for Christmas. He doesn't know an ohm from a watt so he thinks you're the greatest guy in the world.....something like that. Eveyone wins except you paid too much for the pioneer....oh well.

Well, I did a quick check on those two products and you can get the Pioneer 1014 by itself for around $330 and the Bose system for about $999.

So, no that isn't that good a deal. You're only saving $30 on an overpriced Bose system.
