Bose 901 series 1

Greetings,, I recently picked up a pair of these at a flea market for 30 bucks. After doing some research I found out they came with an eq, I hooked them up to a e-q, and pre-amped them and I think they sound GREAT, but that's my opinion,, anywho I was wondering what they might be worth? Mine have the green and orange tweed covers,,, THANKS!!

Welcome to the forum!

I'd suggest doing a Google search on those. You might get some advice here, but you can always do a little research, too. I don't have any personal experience with those, but they seem to be going for quite a bit more than what you paid for them.

Are you wanting to sell them, or just wondering if you got a good deal? If it's the latter, then I'd say that you did indeed.

Some people here will bash Bose. Pay it no mind. What's important is if you are happy.

Pretty old and paper cones could be deteriorating

I used to have some 901 series I. These were made in the early 70s and have paper cones for the nine 4 1/2" drivers in each speaker. If the paper cones are still in good shape after some 35 years, then you mght get triple your money. green/orange and a walnut skin on composite ? And contrary to what some peoepl say they did sound very good and they weren't really that power hungry, a Marantz 1060 easily drove them and it was only rateds at 30 watts RMS per channel. My 901s died about 10 years ago and had a second life as end table,now only the speaker stands survived.

Good Luck in selling, you are going to have to find a niche buyer.
