Bose 401 Speakers

Hey everyone.

I am currently using Acoustic Profiles PSL-7.5 Floorspeakers. I had no problem but wanted to try something else, and I have an offer to trade for a set of Bose 401 speakers. Any one have any experience with them? Would it be an upgrade? Any advice appreciated!

Please note, I also have an Athena AS-P300 Subwoofer integrated into the system to cover some bottom end.

The Bose 401 is a poor sounding speaker

Don't know if it's possible for you to hear them before you trade, but I would. Never been a fan of BOSE.

Not a fan of the 401's under any circumstance. Not bashing Bose for being Bose, I just don't care for the 401's. The 501's are a much much better speaker.
