Sageo, welcome to the forum.
To better assist you, I'd like to know what you'd like to control on the TV when you're using the DISH system. Channel changes and volume changes shouldn't involve your TV. Also, when you say that you "get no Satellite," do you mean that you get no audio, no video, or both?
I'll look through the manual for a better fix, but here's a quick trick for you. Press "CAB/SAT" on the remote control while it's facing the main Bose unit. This will set the input source to the unit to your DISH box and will set up the remote control to run the DISH box. So, you'll be able to hear and see the satellite signal. If you want to control the television with the remote control, but still want to hear and see the satellite signal, press the "TV" button while covering the top of the remote control (for example, place your hand over it) so that the IR signal won't transmit to the main Bose unit. That way, the remote control will be set up to control the TV, but it won't switch the input source on the main unit.
In general, pressing "TV" or "CAB/SAT" on the remote will set up the remote to control that component. It will only set up the main Bose unit to use that component as the input source if the main unit can see the signal from the remote.
Hope that helps.
