Bet that got your attention...haha.
No, I know Bose is horribly overpriced and lacks quality, but I purchased a pair of 301's about 15 years ago, when I was 14 years old. I fell to the marketing, the sound comparisons to other big box store manufacturers, and the Bose monopoly-kiosk setups in these big box stores. I'm not proud of my gullible decision.
Anyway, I'm finally able to spend some money on speakers--so after reading this forum for the last 6 months and listening to some bookshelf speakers (B&W 686 and 685, Usher S-520, Paradigm Titans and Mini Monitors, wanted to try the Axiom M2/M3's but obviously couldn't) I decided on the Usher S-520's. I found a used set of three Usher's on Audiogon for $345. I plan on using the third as a center.
I'm extremely excited about the purchase and just want to know and confirm how much better these will sound. I need some encouragement. Lol. I know how much better they compared in the store, but at home it's a different environment.
For fun I will post a comparison when I receive the Usher's.
