Even though they got most/all of the original people, I am concerned about this one.

The first one was excellent, not sure about the second one. They should have done the sequel sooner though.

Yeah, the first one was a good surprise. But I think I'll get this sequel on Netflix.:D

I've never understood the love for this "franchise". The first one seemed like a poorman's Tarantino at best, and utter **** at its worst moments (there are quite a few).

This new one looks equally stupid. "Let's do some gratuitous violence!"

I was very entertained by the original. It wasn't cinematic genius, but sometimes I am okay with just simply being entertained. I was sort of excited about the sequel at one point, then less so when I heard they didn't get back Willem Dafoe, then I was a bit worried when I saw the trailer. It isn't looking too good, IMO, but then again, I never saw the trailer for the first one, so who knows...

Thanks for the link! Just saw the trailer! Hope to see this one in theaters! I remember the first one, thats how old I am, and william dafoe had an amazine performance in it. Hopefully this one has some more action sequences. though.

I blind bought this one on BD because it was on sale at Frys. I have to be honest, I liked this one too! No, it isn't as good as the first one, but it isn't fair to compare them. It had a lot of similar humor and it was certainly entertaining. Good PQ and great audio. Judd Nelson being in it was a bit unexpected, but it has a lot of the same characteristics as the first one, though not quite as fresh and original, it was still a fun watch IMO.

Recommended rental for fans.

I really liked the first one, but I've been afraid to check this one out. I'll NetFlix it per your recommendation (No worries, won't hold ya to it :p).

I'm not much into sequels unless it's like T2 or Aliens (better than the original) but felt Boondock 2 was a worthy sequel and although similar to the 1st, still held up on it's own as a good movie.

It was almost like paying homage to the first one, which is odd since it was the same director. It looks like they had fun making it, just like the first one, which is why I think it works.

I liked that chick in this one much better than the ... you know. :)
If you don't know ... you will. ;)

Since I watched it late I had to keep fiddling with the volume but I think I'll watch it again during the daytime just to hear the sound track the way they wanted me to hear it.

Lots of laugh out loud parts and did I mention that there was this chick?

Hey Phil, you hear that? This one has a hot girl !!! :D

I very much enjoyed the first one also. To each their own.

I don't remember it, but I think I did like the first one. The second one was beyond HORRIBLE though. The only thing good about it was the smokin' hot FBI agent. Man, if that chick's a Cougar, I gotta find out where she lives. :D
