Boomstick SPL meters?

If you haven't seen any of my posts on the 'net, please know that I'm a cheap son of a gun. I love bargains.

$100 is a bit high for me on the SPL meter front. I saw these Boom Stick SPL meters on E-bay for a "dove". I found one review online. However, I am curious if ay Audioholics memers have tried these. They seem designed for the car (different environment than my great room).

Harbor freight has a meter that's the same as Radio Shack's (I believe) for $24 or something like that. Would probably be better than the ebay boomstick.
