I recently moved and am now unhappy with where my subwoofer is positioned because of room constraints. Any thoughts on the use of a subwoofer as a speaker stand? Yay or nay?

It sounds like it's definitely worth a try. Subwoofer placement can be tricky but you will only be able to tell if you try it.

Some floor standers are actually designed that way. But I am worried about the vibration from the sub. Have you tried it yet? You'll need 2 subs for this.

Hi
If you need to place the speaker directly on top of the subwoofer
you can use rope calk available at Home Depot $3 to adhere and isolate the
two enclosures from each other.Grip sheet is also a solution (Tip) Rope Calk is also good for isolating rattles in your Home Theater, pictures and other objects that may rattle I carry a couple rolls with me at all times
