This movie is borderline. It was enough to keep me entertained, but the storyline was pretty poor, and the sound wasn't amazing or dynamic. DiCaprio is an unlikely fit for his role, and although his acting is good. So is Crowe and some of the supporting actors too.

The plot is wildly implosible, the use of technology is absolutely terrible with lots of loopholes and 'if they can do that, why can't they do this?' The use of cell phones in the movie is absolutely painful. The love story feels forced and, well, she isn't that pretty (her hair is ****ing nasty). But the real shame is that some of the ideas in the movie had a lot of potential, had they been better executed.

Video is okay, with some of the action scenes feeling a little too artificially lit (not like it was too bright, but, just the lighting was unnatural and looked unprofessional/fake), and the sound isn't popping with dynamics. Gun shots and explosions aren't dynamic like we have come to love in movies like Open Range, Terminator Salvation and so forth. Dialog is clear.

Worth a rental on a 'I don't know what else to watch' night.

Yeah I remember watching this at home some time back......I didn't care for it at all.

You gave it a perfect description, not terrible but I wouldn't bring it up as a movie to watch while standing in line at the water cooler.

I saw it in the theater and thought that it was "pretty good", which in my reviews means that I was entertained, but didn't want to look too closely. Like most covert/action films, you have to enjoy the ride, not get too critical. I found the romantic subplot not believable.
