There’s a bit of nostalgia here, both in the selection of side musicians (like the great Earl Klugh, whom he won a Grammy with back in the 1970’s), and the feel of the music. However, at the end of the day, it’s all keyboardist/composer/arranger/producter Bob James—and that’s a good thing! </FONT></P>

thanks for the review of the new Bob James release - I'm a big fan of his. I couldn't agree more with you regarding useless vocals on a good jazz tune. I can't stand it when a good smooth jazz song is grooving along and then in come some sappy background vocals to ruin it all. I just don't get it - these vocals are completely unecessary. Thanks again.
