The second collaborative release for Bob James and David Sanborn (the first being Grammy winning Double Vision), Quartette Humaine is a straight-ahead jazz set featuring the bass skills of James Genus and the drumming talents of Steve Gadd. CDs are available in US and Japanese import releases, with the Japanese version featuring two extra tracks, including the mesmerizing Maputo. There is also a 180g vinyl pressing, though this is limited to six out of the total eleven tracks due to restrictions inherent in the recording format. No matter the format, you're sure to enjoy the fantastic performances and outstanding production values of Quartette Humaine.
