Hi, what is a good (not the absolute best) solution to get streaming capabilities to a 5.1 receiver? i am thinking about the logitech bluetooth receiver, what has Rca connections. The chromecast audio is any better on 3.5mm jack? (which i believe is wifi based not bluetooth) or is there any other solutions out there for under $50?

What receiver do you have? The CCA is indeed wifi based and enables you to use your phone more as a remote with direct streaming from the services, too (and you can either use it's dac or get a mini optical adapter as it can also out put digitally wired to your avr/dac). I have three CCAs, mostly on older gear that doesn't have built-in wifi capabilities as much of my more modern gear has. I've used the bluetooth receiver I use in my vehicle inside, it's not horrible and its not the latest/greatest bluetooth codec either (and bluetooth has improved on audio quality spec over the years). Do you use a bluray player? Many already have dlna/wifi capabilities.....
