bluetooth speaker sound delay

I just installed a bluetooth audio transmitter to my Samsung smart TV using the optical cable. I quickly paired it with a JBL Flip 4 speaker hoping to get some surround sound effect. Unfortunately, there is about a 1/2 second delay in the sound from the bluetooth speaker and nothing I hafe found makes any difference.
Any ideas?

You need an option to delay the video to match the audio. If the TV doesn't have such a setting, then likely you are out of luck. Most modern AVRs have this feature, kind of defeats what you were trying to do.
