I want to upgrade my HT system. I currently own:
* Front: Proac Response D25
* Center: Proac CC1
* Surrounds (4): Emotiva ERD1
*Amp 1 (Surrounds): Adcom GFA7607 7*125W
*Amp2: Emotiva XPA3 (Front and center)
* ReCeiver: Onkyo PR-SC5508
*SW: Velodyne CHT12
* Room: 28l*18,5w*8h
* Seating distance 12 feet and second row 22 feet
All the inputs that I have got to improve this system makes me think about buying a set of active speakers.
I would like to hear some recommendations of people who have tried both due to the fact that at his moment the store can not give me the speakers to test.
I have the chance to buy a 5.1 from Blue Sky (SAT8 and SW 212), at a fairly good price, about 7.000€.
So Questions:
1) If I buy the set of speakers, would the Onkyo would be a good match (xlr outputs are included in this pre).
2) The Proac are very nice speakers, should I buy a good amplifier?? (recommendations as well)
3) In a room like this one, would I need 2 SW ???: The room is treated with copopren and sounds nice, not perfect, but nice.
4) Anybody recommends in this price range other active speakers more suitable for HT ?
The top that I have and willing to spend is the range between 5.000 and 6.000 €.
