I was thinking of buying a new player and I was thinking of the oppo 203 but in Canada it's over 700 bucks from sound solutions. For some goofy reason Amazon.ca does not offer oppo players. My question is since my Marantz receiver does the work is there a Benifit in a expensive player? Will I get a better picture with a oppo or does a cheaper player give me the same results?

The Oppo's build quality, quiet mechanism and after-sale support are good things, things that may be lacking from a mass market brand. OTOH I have always used such a player as a transport and haven't been convinced that I am going to see/hear anything significantly different from a $50 player used as such, have generally had good luck from the Sony S-series of players (I have 5100s and a 6700)....at least so far. Maybe a bit clunky in operation, maybe not as quiet on the rack, but...I can buy ten of them for an Oppo entry level unit. However, have always been tempted by the 103/203 so am tuning in....

Yes, you can but only play one at a time unless you have ten TVs to connect them all. :D

I am in Canada also. I bought the Sony UBP-800, for $200 on sale. Excellent player so far. Doesn't do Dolby Vision and 2 HMDI outputs in case your receiver won't pass 4K.

Yes, it will play 3D movies from what the manual states. I don't have a 3D tv anymore, so I haven't tried.
