Blu-Ray player, with hard drive/memory?

1st time poster, real newbie!!
Wanting a blu-ray player that has memory, to act like a DVR, so that I can record TV programs.
Maybe a Sony, Panasonic, or Samsung--in the 250.00 to 300.00 dollar range.

None that I know of yet. The PS3 has a hard drive, and it's possible that by using some form of Linux you could effectively make it usable as a DVR.

What you're asking for is only available in Japan at the moment. It's likely broadcasters will never allow something like that here. Even now it seems like combo dvd recorder/hard drive based units are nearly extinct.
