Hello All,

I am looking to purchase a Panasonic DMP-BD35K, would like some advice on where to purchase via the internet for some savings. Best Buy retails this for $299.99 but are currently out of stock. Anyone have success stories for price shop and reputable on line experiences? Thanks,,,

I bought from Amazon without issue, but you are going to find this product in extremely short supply as it has been discontinued and is being upgraded by Panasonic. You will be lucky to find it anywhere for under that price - or at all.

If I were so inclined though - I might jump on this one from B&H (incredibly reliable etailer!) for $175...

It says it is rated 9 (out of 10?) for a crack on the front of the player - but I would think this is a cosmentic shortfall, not something which could affect playback in any way.

Up to you, but that's a heck of a price from a great seller.

It amaizing to me how hard these players are to find these days and how much they are being price gouged by people. I looked at amazon the other day looking for the BD-55 and the lowest price they had listed for a new player was $550. Some were selling it for $1000. One place was selling a used one for over $1000. That's on a player that retails for $399. They do have excellent reviews, however. In contrast, the Pioneer BDP-51FD seems to be dropping in price and can be picked up at Costco for $300 below retail. However, its pretty much been panned by most reviews. I didn't see any Panny's at Costco online. They did have a Sherwood for $199.

Fortunately, I decided to check out Circuit City's going out of business sale and found an open box BD-55 for $280. You might stop there and see if one of the store has one. Seems like a reasonable price concidering the gouging that's going on.
