Blu-ray picture goes dark and light

just got my PS3 last night and put in my first Blu-ray movie. Noticed on some dark scenes the image seemed to "auto-correct" and make the whole picture brighter, then on the next scene it would "auto-correct" and make darker. Anyone seen this? Any fix?

Do you have the latest firmware installed? I believe that would be 1.93.
