Blu-ray BD-Live with Oppo-BDP-83 question

I got myself a bit of a treat a couple of weeks ago, BDP-83. Now the only thing I have to do is swap out the projector with the Epson 8500 and I am golden. Even when my projector converts the signal down, it still looks fantastic. My first Blu-ray title was the Ultimate Matrix blu-ray set, and it looks amazing. I can't wait until my new projector gets here, but that's another discussion.

What is the point of BD-live and Bonus view with the Oppo BDP-83? The manual says if I mix the bd-live/secondary audio in with the primary audio I'll lose high definition sound. If that is the case, doesn't that defeat the purpose of going with Blu-ray titles in the first place? Or do people change the config settings depending on the movie title? Then change them back?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I sympathize with your yearning for a new pj. We need a government stimulus package to get us out of our old projectors and into modern gear. A cash for clunkers deal. How long must we bear the burden of blu-ray degradation to 720p?
