Blog sound on Sub

Hi,

I have a question regarding the Subwoofer I bought a few weeks ago, the model is Audio Pro Sub Soniq, I noticed that everytime I am disconnecting the power (turning off), after a few seconds I hear a 'blog' sound from the sub, is this a defect? Is it harmful to the sub?
