I was reading the article "HDMI Enhanced Black Levels, xvYCC and RGB" and wanted to do the black test patterns using the THX Optimizer from "The Incredibles" DVD as mentioned in the article:

I'm a bit confused though. I have a Samsung BD-P2500 blu-ray player but my "Incredibles" DVD in not blu-ray. Do I have to have a blu-ray disc to properly run this test?

^^right. I believe that having a blu-ray test disc is beneficial though, when considering HD image processing (noise reduction and such). Some ISF techs on here could probably chime in definitively though.
