upgrading everything, wondering what kind of holiday sales ppl have gotten for klipsch specifically? worth it to wait the 9 months?

I'm just asking in general. worth it to wait? Do they have astounding sales that makes you wish you would have waited? Or is it the typical mediocre sales only on high-end products?

Klipsch recently introduced a new line of RP series speakers which are slated to be released later this year.
I would expect that to result in some clearance sales of the current version, but it also begs the question of whether the differences between the current model and the next is significant.

Generally I do not believe it has been too great, but I feel like the differences of the previous change from RF-82 ii to RP-280f were significant!
Which model(s) of their speakers are you looking at?

center channels. klipsch 250 440 450. have a entry level polk c10 that I've never liked. loud but muddy. the 250 obviously would be the closest to that. 2 5 1/4 or someting. but I can't help but want the 440 & 450 if I can get it cheaper. the idea would be large center smaller cheaper l/r bookshelves. have Polk monitor 70s now muddy as well & overkill for living room.

I know people who ordered Klipsch "open box" items from Sound Distributors and they were new in box!
Klipsch controls there pricing and even though SD is willing to sell higher volumes at a discount, they need to advertise it as open box so as to not violate their agreement with Klipsch.
But, in case things have changed, call SD first. They CANNOT tell you it is new, but they will tell you there is no damage/scratch/dent to the speaker. For example this one says “OPEN BOX - RETURNED BY SHIPPER - BOX IS TORN - UNIT IS PERFECT” .
If you look around and watch for a while, you will see that SD sells these all day long and when one auction (of 20 units) closes, another opens to replace it!
