Has anyone used or heard these speakers? They are 169 a pair right now and look alot like b&w 805s. Just wondering....

I had never heard of them so did a little research. I found a post on hi-fi.org saying that they are a scam with cheap cheap drivers and no crossover and also that they don't measure well.

They certainly appear to be a knockoff.

Got a link? Never heard of them. Just because they look like a good speaker doesn't necessarily mean they are.

AFAIK Bizzy Bee is a reputable name, but I believe it is a company (one guy?) who does modifications for certain components and/or speakers. I see that name associated with TAD (Tube Audio Design). Sounds like they are trying to capitalize on a known name.

Actually, Paul from Bizzybee (the owner) has been mail ordering some form of this speaker for close to 20 years. If you were to go to Audiogon and check his status he's had like 300 or 400 transactions without any negative feedback, dating back almost 7 or 8 years.

Honestly, for $169 they're good little speakers. His clients absolutely Rave about the Aural Ersatz. I know it seems like a scam but it isn't. He also designs and sells monoblocks, subs, preamps, dacs, cables and some other odds and ends. He's the real deal.

I know Paul is for real, I just have not heard his speakers and wanted to know if anyone had. He makes really nice tube amps and preamps from what I have read and heard from a number of people.......
