Biwiring to Denon AVR2805 ???

just unpacked my new avr2805 and was reading the maual about setup

I normally biwire my front speakers to both the 'A' and 'B' speaker terminals however the manual says that autosetup only uses speakers 'A' for setup/calibration. Surely this would calibrate the speakers wrong by only driving the bass (or treble - whichever is connected to 'A')?

Has anyone tried biwiring to 'A' and 'B' on a 2805?

Should I join the wires together and only use speakers 'A'?
Is biwiring to 'A'+'B' actually any better than just biwiring to 'A' ?

Please help

It depends on how the recvr reacts (does it impedance match and lower the volume on both by 3db???) to having both A and B on at the same time as to whether or not you would want to single bi-wire (use only A) or double bi-wire (A & B). I doubt the recvr has discrete amplifiers channels for A&B then you don't gain anything by using B except ease of hookup.

Ade, don't waste your time with bi-wiring at all. There is no sonic benefit to it. It is pure snake oil. use a decent cable on a and be done with it. Use b for your patio or deck. In some cases bi-wiring could be detrimental to the sound, if the cable had a high capacitance you would be doubling it.

Cheers.

Ease of hook-up is quite important because its difficult to get two QED wires into a single terminal.

I didnt appreci8 the impedance issue by using A+B.

Denon have just replied and said "You could cause damage to the amp by having one speaker across two terminals. When you do this you halve your speakers impedance, which results in your amp over heating."

The amp doesnt have discrete anps for A and B so I thought it would simply ease connection and maybe help with the sound.
