Anyone a fan of Big Star? 70's band with massive potential that went nowhere? Lead singer is Alex Chilton. When he was 16 years old, he was lead singer for the Box Tops. Their smash hit was "The Letter" ("give me a ticket for an airoeplane...). Their first two LP's are as good as you'll hear coming out of the 70's. The first one ("#1 Record") if you can find an OP, goes for very high buck.
