None of the rappers i listen to have ever been to jail, talked about being a gangster or selling drugs. Lots of the hip hop i listen to doesnt have any swearing at all. As i said before dont judge something you know nothing about. it would be like me calling all country crap based on the few crappy songs i have heard.

Rap and hip hop are two separate genres, as is R&B.

Hip hop I don't mind but don't really like either.

One note beats that loop for 10 minuets while someone combines random words that sometimes rhyme and sometimes just sound similar all the while making little sense and always berating something or someone........not bashing you its just not my thing.....hence why I put it in the Things you don't get post.

I don't like country either BTW.

^^ well most people generalize rap and hip hop together. i didnt know that you were not. i dont care if you dont like it, im just happy that some people at least know theres a difference and its not all about killing and being ignorant. most of my favorite rappers are down to earth real people, my friend is actually taking a university class with one of my favorite rappers. so they are not all inmates and stupid thugs

First Mike no one said they hate the people that listen to rap so how can that be an intolerance of peoples taste in music? The OP's question is for a personal view of different acts or music and I think Rap sucks. That is my opinion not a knock at you because you like it. To tell us to mature just showed you missed the point. You are entitled to listen and like whatever you want and so can I......

I have the same feelings about U2, sometimes I've mixed up some of their newer songs with Coldplay or other bands... they had some good stuff but they've been dead IMO for a decade.

I also don't get Radiohead or Dave Matthew's Band. I know there are others but I'm drawing a blank.

I've seen U2 a number of times, but all back when they were good. After Rattle & Hum, their concerts when to hell. I haven't bought an album from them in years, and nothing that they have done in a long time has convinced me otherwise. They put on some of the best shows I've ever seen though.

Mike, I don't wish to argue but you are taking it way too seriously. I will refrase my staement, All the rap that I have heard is crap. I also would not get into or deliver any violence because of someones opinion on music. There are way to many things more worth fighting for then that. So, if I offended you it was not my intention but I will keep my opinion and hopefully no one is beating you up for yours....
