BIC DV62 v. BIC DV52

After reading this forum for several months, I've seen that the BIC DV62s have quite a loyal following. My question is whether any of you have heard the BIC DV52s which a bit smaller. If so, how do they compare to the BIC DV62s? Are they also a great value? The reason I ask - when I show my wife a pair of speakers that are about 15" tall, she says those are too big. When I show her a pair that are about 11" tall, she says those are all right. Either pair are within my budget, but my wife would be much happier wiht the smaller version. Thanks in advance for your knowledge.

The DV52 speakers use an inferior 1/2" tweeter. They also do not have the range of the larger DV62 bookshelves. I'd suggest that you buy the heavily modified DV62 bookshelves directly from Ed Frias if you're just looking for a pair.

The 62's are far superior. I have had both. Get the 62's and tell her you didn't realize how large they were, and then whine and look all sad when she tells you to send them back. And buy her flowers the day you expect them to arrive. She’ll let you keep them.

I guess if they arrive, she won't make me send them back. Amazon has the 62s for $120 delivered, and the 52s for $80 delivered, so I believe I'll be getting a good deal either way. They're going to be used for our 2nd TV. Probably as satellites with a 'hidden' woofer. Music and movies.
