BIC DV 84 Tower Speakers opinions

I been looking for some front speakers now and I was wondering if anyone has heard/purchased or has any information on BIC DV84 speakers. They seem to be a good speaker but I am not for sure. Any information would help.

I haven't ever got the chance to listen to them. I have read a few reviews and posts about them on different forums though. From what I have read, those speakers seem to be pretty decent speakers for music for the price. But, they usually only get mediocre reviews for home theater use. I've also heard the bass response and extension on them isn't as good as they should be for 8' drivers with radiators. If you mostly listen to music and have a small to medium sized room. I would say they are probably a good buy for the price. You can get a pair of those for dirt cheap. Only you can decide though. Go to their website and see if you can find a dealer in your area and demo them for a couple hours.

You should consider getting the DV64's directly from Ed Frias. Ed modifies the cross over, and driver matches the mid-woofers and tweeters. They aren't much more in cost.

From what I have read, they should not fail to impress for a budget speaker. Make sure you get a sub to handle the low end.

Check out the BIC H100 from the Acoustech line. Under $300 shipped with a 12" woofer and power handling that peaks at 500 watts. I have now personally evaluated this sub and WOW. I kills my PSB Alpha SubSonic1 10" sub, and the JBL 12" it replaced. Incredible bang for the buck.

I have attached his BIC Answers sheet. I will be getting two of the DV-62CLRS modded by him. I am going to do a before/after comparison.

Also check out the new X-sls and X-mtm floorstanding speakers from AV123. They are pretty reasonably priced ($319-449/pair) and have excelent build quality:

I am going to have to check out the X-mtm. Those seem like a good speaker and are reasonably price. I also like the fact that you can test the speakers for 30 days. If anyone has heard these speakers then please let me know.

What about the JBL Stadium's? Any information on them
