Mule,

Why are you asking about a pair of $120 bookshelves? This coming from a guy with $6000 worth of subs.

Just buy them and let us know what you think. ;)

Question: Why are you asking about $120 bookshelves?
Mulester's answer: Because I am.

Over...as in 'over and out' - I won't be elaborating any further.

Ok, they are a bit bright, have good bass, and image pretty well for a bookshelf. They won't handle a ton of power BC they tend to compress a little. If you get the Frias modded crossovers, they really sound nice.

Mule,

OK, a bedroom system. Makes sense now.

I just bought a bunch of BIC Venturi tweeters from Parts Express. All on clearance. 10 in all. 4-1", and 6-3/4". Rebuilt a few bookshelves for the basement. I can't say if those tweeters came from the DV62si's, but they sound outstanding. A lot has to do with the crossovers. The soft dome tweeters actually handle quite a bit of power, and have yet to distort.

I gave away a set of Venturi DV62 bookshelves about 3 years ago to my younger brother. I had them in college, back in the early 90's. Excellent set of bookshelves for the money. I pushed the dickens out of them, and not once had to replace a driver.

My advice - for a secondary room, they're hard to beat. For a primary room, they'd work great for surrounds.

Actually I found this funny.
Yeah you kinda have to get use to Mule language. LOL..

Sometimes I post like him as well, and find myself hard to understand and get my point across.
Mulester is a great guy, just try reading between the lines, or sometimes every other word. J/K Mule..:D

Anyhow, for the amount of good things I've read about these (from owners), I would say they should be great for a bedroom stereo. If I was thinking about a small system (bedroom, college dorm, etc..) Then these would be on a short list. Most owners rave about the clarity from these.
Are these for you Ron, or are you setting up for a friend/family member?

EDIT:: I am also assuming you saw the Buckeye post of $104.00 for a pair of these in deals section?
