I have a 80x2x2 receiver [you know, speakers A 80x2, speakers B 80x2].

If I get speakers that can bi-wire... could I just wire the speakers from set A and B from the receiver, and turn both on when I use the speakers?

Edit: Probably should have put this in the receiver section, sry ;p

If you notice on the bottom of the back it states when using both A & B the speakers must be 8 to 16 ohms? That usually means that when running both at once the amp is split between the loads (parallel two 8 ohm speakers and you get a 4 ohm load).

I really thing you shouldn't worry about bi-wiring. I have never heard where there's any real gain. The only gain is when you "bi-amp" a speaker, using a separate amp for the mid/tweeter and the woofer. In the mean time, just use good quality 12 ga. speaker wire. Oh, and when I say "good" I don't mean you have to buy some of the ridiculously expensive exotic cable. Some guys around here just use Belkin 12 ga. wires available through electrical suppliers.

Good luck :)
