Gene,
Can you tell me how I would Bi-wire Totem Mani2 speakers using the Flexygy6 speaker wire. As you may already know Rivercable does not make a bi-wire speaker wire using their flexygy. Please help. Thanks.

Why do you feel compelled to biwire? The Flexygy 6 already has low resistance to begin with.

Bi Wiring

Gene,
The reason I felt compelled to bi-wire was because the Mani2 speakers have 2 inputs on the back. The other reason is because Totem recommends using double run biwire for the Mani2. Secondly, I thought If I used just one input I would not be utilizing the speaker to its fullest capability. Will I need to use jumpers between the binding post. What are jumpers? My goal here is to minimize my expense on cables while maintaining high quality sound. Thanks

I've got a bridge for sale, designed by a guy named Roebling, it carries a major road between manhatten and Brooklyn.

Just kidding, you do not need to bi-wire.

There is little to no benefit of biwiring provided that you select a quality cable to begin with. In fact, be careful about biwiring high capacitance cables as it doubles the capacitance in doing so and you risk amplifier stability issues or frequency peaking for long runs of cable on marginally stable amps.

My recommendation is to save your money, invest in a quality cable with compression banana plugs. Face Off II will come out soon and you will see our cable recommendations in it. Its taking me forever to post due to its length. Sorry.
