Hello I'm a newbie for sure, thanks all.
Breaking into Home Theater, bought a Panasonic Plasma 55 GT50. My old receiver is outdated, I do have very nice surround speakers by Orb Audio though, I initially threw in a HK AVR 1700 for 300$ with the Tv because that's all I could on my Best Buy card for 2 years of interest free, realizing that was not the best move and I haven't taken out of box yet, will return, Tv not coming till next week anyways.
Opinions please on if there is a receiver in the $300 range better than the HK, I only need a 5.1 system, 3D Blu ray of course, and in the future would like to upgrade to a OPPO, if they're worth it, I haven't figured that out yet, for now using a Pana. BDT220 3D player. Thanks again
