Happy holidays folks.

What are your opinions on the Denon AVR 3802 vs. the Sony STR-DA5ES? I need a 7.1 that can play in two rooms with different music and it's my understanding they both can. However, the Sony goes for about $200 less but is the sound quality the same? For that matter is the remote easier to use or just as complicated as the Denon?

Joe, did you ever figure anything out with this?
I am also shopping for a receiver, the more basic versions of what you've got here, the Denon AVR-1803 and the Sony DA1ES.

Josh, can you quantify what wasn't there? Did it have enough oomph with its power?

Bert, do you have a 1803? How do you like it?
