I have done a little research in the matter, but that only made it more confusing really. If I had to run ~100' from the receiver to the main display, what is the best way? I would think that some kind of HDMI over CAT/5E or CAT/6 would be best. Then again I have hear of plenty of issues with these devices, as well as with CAT type cable in general. I would actually prefer to do something like this for a few reasons. Cost is one because HDMI gets expensive on long runs. Also I will already be running networking throughout the house, and one or two between the receiver and display anyway.
So lets hear what everyone thinks. Which is the best, anything I should know, etc.
