Best time to buy a new sub

I'm looking to buy a sub or two. I've never looked at audio equipment around this time of year. My question is do speaker and sub companies usually give heavy discounts around thanksgiving (black friday/cyber monday)? or does it not even matter the time of year?

If it were me I'd wait for after Thanksgiving and see what pops up. Usually the B&M stores have some pretty good discounts as do some of the ID shops.

SVS B-stock

The other time to watch for is SVS's B-stock sales. B-stock are subs with slight cosmetic flaws, no acoustic flaws , that show up time to time a fairly heavy discounts.

AV123 has a 'B' stock sale on its MFW 15" sub for $399. You may have to wait a few weeks as they aren't in stock right now but thats a great deal.

They do at that. I nearly ordered a pair of Rocket 850s - until I called them to get a clear idea of when they'd be available. I ended up with a pair of Emotiva 8.3s - which I just sold. The 6.2s with a sub are very good.

The AV123 website shows that MFW 15 to be in stock on Monday the 30th. Ya never know.
