The t.v. has a lot of space below it so I can position it vertically below the television but it'll be close to the ground. Would horizontally be better?

The t.v. has a lot of space below it so I can position it vertically below the television but it'll be close to the ground. Would horizontally be better?

At one point I also had my NHT SuperZero standing vertically on the TV stand under the TV about 6 inches from the floor. It sounded great. I believe speakers were meant to be standing vertically, and most are designed to be standing vertically. I would not sit the NHT SuperZero horizontally.

I also had the NHT SuperZero 5.1 system.
