Best sub $1000 37" lcd hdtv

Need a tv just mostly for gaming, computer use and some tv. Saw this one.

Skip the rebate, and get it from Buy.com. It took 6 months to get our last Olevia rebate. The 37HVS is outstanding for HD and SD cable. Haven't tried it for pc/games. Second Syntax product - 20" and 37" LCD. Both perfect, and never a dead pixel. Only problem with Syntax is that they grew too fast, and can't keep up with demand/customer calls. TG the product is good. Oh, and very basic remote.

Rebates from Tiger Direct are handled by second party, unless something has changed.
You fill the thing out to that second party, online only, submit it, within 2 weeks you get your rebate minus a small few dollar fee. They then go after Syntax for the rebate and the fee is what they make for doing it and giving the money up early.
Thats the best LCD you'll get at this time at 37 inches.
I got 2 Syntax LCD's for the price of one major branded LCD and its performance, quality etc is slightly just under the big dogs!!
