Best Sound Card for 2.0

I'm builidng a computer system strictly for two channel playback and i need a sound card. What is the best one to go with and via what kind of cables to my amp? Thanks!

What kind of equipment will you be connecting it to? I'm personally leaning toward an M-Audio Audiophile 2496.

You can't do much better than a $50 creative labs card with an digital coax output.
