I recently purchased a Panasonic BD-35 Blu-Ray Player. I currently have a Yamaha RX-V2600 Receiver(Does not decode DolbyHD). I have them hooked up via an HDMI. I currently have the settings on the BD player to Bitstream with secondary audio off.

Sounds goods, but just want to make sure I am getting the best out of my setup. Am I getting the DolbyHD sound from my player even though my receiver wont decode it? Please Help, Thanks

If you are sending bitstream and the receiver doesn't decode HD, then it must downgrade it. Have you tried PCM from the BD player?

I did not get a chance to try PCM yet. Will PCM setting allow the BD player to decode HD through my receiver? If so, would the sound quality be that obvious?

You'll be better of with PCM.
IIRC, the Yammi 2600 does handle LPCM thru HDMI, so you'll be fine!

Just for you info, the new HD lossless codecs (Dolby/DTS) and PCM are the very same thing in terms of sound.

You need to set it to PCM so that the Panny decodes the HD audio and passes it via PCM to your receiver. Then you will get TrueHD and all of the bells and whistles.
