Best receiver for my sub and speaker combo?

I have a set of klipsch synergy ss-1 speakers. I plan on getting either a polk audio PSW10 or a rockville Rock Shaker 8" 400w powered subwoofer. I need a receiver to combo these two with powered sub out. But don't want to spend a ton of money. Any recommendations?

You mean you want a unit with a pre-out for the sub, both the subs you mention are powered and would not require power from the amp, just the signal. I'd pass on that Rockville thing as well as the Polk. The Dayton sub (or its slightly bigger brother the SUB1500) mentioned would be better. That Yamaha mentioned is a good deal.

I cant find anything about the ohm rating on the wattage they're claiming. I'd like 100w at 8ohm. I'm new to this and kinda discovering alot throughout today. My apologies

Here's a recent measurement of the unit (different model number but same avr for Costco) https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/yamaha-rx-v6a-7-2-channel-4k-8k-dolby-av-receiver-review.17204/

ps in general I'd look at the manufacturer's site for specs, if not the unit's manual.

Klipshchs are generally very efficient they will not need a lot of power. Do not wrry too much about the watts unless you want to listen at ear splitting volumes. I would suggest checking out the reviews in well regarded sources to find the real specs. Manf published specs are marketing ploys in many cases.
Accessories4less sells factory refurb receivers at a discount, with manf warranty. I have bought three receivers from them with no issues.

Factory Refurb... when it goes bad its a nightmare. It's definitely a gamble and new units aren't that much more. Save yourself three months without a receiver while its in for repair by negotiating a deal on a new unit or find a sale. I see them all the time.

A $599 New reciever for $329. Why would he look at a Refurb unit? Explain the logic there.
I don’t see point in getting a refurb unless it’s a higher end model ... I’ve never gotten one on that site but people suggest it a lot
