sorry, cant help you on where to find a silver one but i am looking at that same receiver. where did you find the best deal? does it come with a factory wrnty? i posted a thread about this receiver and im waiting for some replies. why did you chose this one???

I do not think they are avilable in Silver

Not in the US anyway. You might find that the European model is available in silver though, for some reason they seem to have more silver components than the States.

Go with black, it will be at the bottom of your rack and will not look out of place with all of the silver components above it!

Silver May Not Be Worth The Trouble

YOU ARE CORRECT ...I THINK ONLY THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT IN THE SILVER IS TO GET IT FROM ACROSS THE POND! I FIGURED THAT I WOULD POST THIS QUESTION HERE BECAUSE I KNOW PEOPLE KNOW WHERE TO GET THE BEST PRODUCTS FROM THE BEST PLACES AT THE BEST PRICES..NOT IN THAT ORDER..THE REASON FOR YAMAHA,I DONT SEE AS MANY B STOCK ITEMS NOR DO I SEE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM..I DONT WANT TO SPEND TO MUCH MONEY ON ANYTHING WITH ELECTRONICS CHANGING OFTEN..LIKE TO GO DVI ,HDMI,FIREWIRE THEY WILL PROBABLY COME OUT WITH 10.1 AND NO WIRES TO HOOK UP BY THE TIME I TYPE THIS AND BUY THE UNIT. BUT A PERSON CAN ONLY WAIT FOR SO LONG.. BTW IM NOT YELLING IN CAPS IM HANDICAPPED AND I CAN ONLY TYPE SO FAST.. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK

After looking on ebay and other on line retailers as well as reading a lot of other on-line data, I got worried about not having a warranty (not because I am worried about it breaking, but more as a just in case lifeline). As you will find out, not buying from a qualified retailer will void your warranty and most of the on line people didn't offer much of a return policy. There is a pretty lengthy post from a guy (do a search on Abe's of Maine) and hear is woes. I'm not saying you will have any issues, but it was worth my peace of mind to haggle with a storefront dealer. And yes, I said haggle. And yes, I paid more than you will online but not much if you factor in some type of MACK warranty, shipping and handling charges etc. Besides, I got to take it home right away and start tweaking my 2500. Also, the unit will be good for many years and that factors into pennies a day. That's my 2 cents.

You cannot find this receiver in silver color, only in titan. And they are right. You have to get it, from another continental such as Europe (i am in greece)
