Best Place for Wall Plates/Suggestions,

I've recently relocated and will be moving into my new house at the end of the month. I'd like to run hidden wiring; any recommendations on wall plates? Brand, type of connects, etc. The drywall is already hung so I will either be fishing wire through the attic or crawlspace to their respective locations.

I currently am setup for 5.1 but am running an AVR 635 which is a 7.1 reciever. The nice thing about the 635 is that the 2 rear channels can be setup as dedicated outputs for seperate room (Zone 2). With that said, I think I'd like to run a wall plate that will except 7 speaker inputs/outputs.

Lastly, what is everyone's take on integrating a sub connection into wall plates? Is this too long of a run for a sub interconnect. Thanks!

I'll play.

As far as locations go, I would setup your system in the room and find the best locations for the speakers and subwoofer. Then plan your equipment location and install wall plates for all hidden connections you want (including subwoofer). Ram Electronics has a nice selection of wall plates, as does Parts Express. Once you find the perfect location, just install a wall plate near it. If you want a nice look, you can make some DIY speaker cables with techflex to run from the wall plate to the speaker.
