Best Headphones for ~100

I'm looking for over the ear headphones, that has really good bass AND sound quality. I just bought some sennheiser HD555's and while the quality is amazing, the bass isn't. So i'm thinking of returning it to Amazon and trying to get something else. Any ideas?

If this helps at all, I listen to dubstep and other electronic music, as well as rap, and occasionally some metal

You might want to consider something like the Sony MDR-7506 (also known as the MDR-V6 if I am remembering correctly, identical aside from plug coating). I have these with the Beyer pads which are cloth and more comfortable in my opinion. They would come in under $100, probably around $80-90 depending on which version of the Sonys you get.

Sony MDR 7506 is my choice.............$89 some places and the BEST for anything close to that price........

For your bass void I would suggest the Audio Technica ATH-M50. If you want to spend just a bit more money even better the Shure SRH 840.

Those Audio-Technica's look pretty nice, but the 50 extra bucks does make me one to try and look for other options. Oh, I also don't want any sound leakage. It's really bad on my sennheiser's. Everyone can hear what I'm listening to.

Those Senns you have are open style headphones. Any open style headphone will leak outside noise in and the sound of the music will leak out. What you need are closed style headphones. The Sony MDR 7506, Audio Technica ATH-M50 and Shure SRH840 are closed models.

Another closed model I would recommend if you want to spend a bit more money is the AKG K271 MKII.

Oof. Those AKG are too expensive. I'm just going to be doing casual listening. No recording or anything... which is why I want to spend close to $100. I'm considering those Audio Technicas, though unless someone recommends something else. What I get also depends on how much money I get from my return to Amazon.

I can personally 2nd the recommendation for the AudioTechnica ATH-M50. It seems that when it comes to headphones I always see Sennheiser and AKG but never see Audio-Technica or Grado mentioned. It's unfortunate.

I love my A/T's.

The AT M50 are a good choice. I think you will like them.

Did you post this on AK? I would say used STAX electrostatics.
