I have a sony Hs20 projector w/ a draper 120" screen . I have total light
control as well. I am looking to get the best picture for my theater, I
am more conerned over picture quality than sound. Does anyone have any
sugestion or have used any products with this projector. I am considering
a s2500 when they come in. also considering the pioneer elite 59avi or
others. Thanks

I use a 3910 with my HS10 via DVI and couldn't be happier. Awesome PQ and stellar audio performance, too. I upgraded from a Pioneer Elite 45a and the 3910 is a substantial step up in performance.

A budget DVD that packs a wallop!

I went out and picked up a Samsung DVD HD-841 from CC this weekend. I cannot begin to tell everyone how unbelievable this little unit is for the money. $179 on sale!

DVD-A and SACD playback is awesome! Sure bass management is virtually non-existant on this unit but even at that, I don't seem to hear what I am apparently missing because of it. It's a progressive scan unit with 10 bit converter and because it has a DVI output it upconverts to 720p 768p and 1080i! Picture looks awesome.

I was really wanting a 3910 or might have settled on a 2910 but like you I want to wait a year and see what happens with next generation.

I'm telling everyone that is looking for great picture and great sound to consider this little player. Absolutely fantastic. And under $200 beans leaves a lot left for DVD-A and SACD's which by the way can be found at great prices on Amazon. They may not have the selection some of the internet specialty sites have, but they do have the most popular sellers. I picked up Dark Side of the Moon for $13 bucks.

This is TOOOOOOOOO much fun! ;)
