Ciao Audioholics,
Am new to your forum, but like it already very much.Am wanting to upgrade my CD player (listen:90% Jazz -Jazz vocal, some rock-pop).Looking for the most "musical, open beaifful mids-hi range" player at the sub $500 level.
Am thinking about a Rotel,Arcam,Cambridge, or Nad.Any tips??
Down the road,am thinking about a tube CD player,am interested in the Jolida products-know them?
System:
Denon AVR 1000 (am upgrading to a new Denon-1604,1804, etc..
Denon cd changer
NHT 2.3A speakers

Thanks very much for your help.. JJ

The NAD I think it is the 521 is an awesome budget CD player and probably cannot be beat for the price.

Agree, the NAD C521BEE is a great choice it sports a Burr-Brown Sigma-Delta 20Bit D/A Converter, but the early production of this unit had quite a few complaints of a background HUM, but I beleive the problem has been corrected by replacing a 100 microfarad filter capacitor with 250 in the power supply circuit.
