Best Buy $399 Toshiba TDP-S8UC02 Projector Review/Questions

I recently purchased this Toshiba TDP-S8UC02 projecter on Black Friday at Best Buy for my Boyfriend for christmas. It's an upgrade to the TDP-S8U, and very comparable to the TDP-T9U. I have a few questions(bottom of page) and wanted to know if anyone else has this projector and how do they like it. The information on Best Buy's Website says that the Specs are as follows(best buy isn't the most accurate website to get specs from, but it's not available from Toshiba because it is a BB exclusive):

QUESTIONS
1)After doing research, I notice that if a projector has a Max Res of 1024x768 and supports HDTV signals, they can produce 16:9 pictures AND 4:3, Right?(assuming the Native Res. provide by BB is incorrect)
2)If the resolution is 1024x768, wouldn't this be XGA rather than SVGA, and what is the difference?
3)If you input a Widescreen HDTV source(says it's an HD DLP Projector), doesn't it project as a 16:9?
4) Does it sound like it's worth the money, or should I just return it and get something else within a + $300 range?
5)Did anyone else purchase this projector and already try it out? Are you happy with it? Pros....Cons?

If someone knows of a review already done for this specific projector please let me know.

I have never owned a projector before so I don't know very much about them, any information would be greatly appreciated.

Toshiba Projector

That projector is definately 4:3 format. This means you will need a 4:3 screen and it will project black bars on the top and bottom when you are watching a movie. It sounds like you got a good deal on the projector, but it is definately designed for portable, business applications. If it has a 2x color wheel, its performance might be limited for watching movies.

Optoma makes some good entry level HT projectors including the H31 ($600) and HD70 ($1000) but these might be too expensive for an X-mas present.
