Best AVR for Audio?

Hi,

I'm new at this and looking to start with a new AVR. I do have a simple Qinpu Q3 mini-integrated tube amp, but plan to buy a new AVR. I'm familiar with Outlaw's $600 AVR and how well it works for audio. But it's out of my price range I'm looking for $400 and under. Also have seen plenty of Pioneer Elite's in the Best Buy "Open Box or Demo" category for under $400.

My system will consist of:

The Qinpu A3 (not sure if I can even integrate into it yet?
Oppo BDP-103
Have a paid of Pioneer BS21 speakers and Kef Q1's.

Looking for any advise on any who's managed to do a budget system with 5.1 and 2.1

Thanks

Right now Best Buy has the Pioneer VSX-822-K for $200, and the VSX-1122-k goes for $350. Unless you want to go refurbished, check accessories4less.com. What's your budget for speakers?

There are always close out deals on Amazon. Onkyo is usually heavily discounted. I think you can get the 616 for about $350. retails for $700 and should put your home theater together well. Sound quality wise, I think you'd be happy with it, but there are so many other options. Another option would be to get a power amp and use your Oppo as a preamp. Not sure if the 103 is capable of volume control, but I know the 105 is. I would add a Emotiva 80x5 channel amp for $399...awesome price. Or, comb audiogon. I bet you may be able to pick up an older B&K avr for that price. Have fun!
